"We ourselves have the power and can shape our worlds." -J.K. Rowling
The reason I became a Life Coach was because I want to help people discover and use their inner power to live their ideal life, not just wish for a life they thought was a dream. When I came to the realization that you have an inner power and can choose and design your life, it shifted my perspective forever. It puts the creativity and responsibility in your hands. No more "I can't." No more "It's not possible." You have the power and responsibility to make your life the way you want it. Often people live mediocre lives because they haven't discovered their inner power. They like to live in the land of excuses or they don't want to take responsibility for the design and outcome of their lives.
There were a lot of excuses I could have chosen to believe to not live a life of purpose and meaning. But that would have depleted all of my power and given it to everyone and everything but myself. I have worked for a few companies whose values and ethics were not aligned with my own. Waking up every morning and going to work just for a paycheck felt like a self-sacrifice and torture, just for money. It affected every aspect of my life from my relationships to my sleep to my stress levels. It depleted me of my strength.
Some people, like abuse victims, often move forward to find their inner power and to live their best lives because they don't want to give their abuser any more power over their lives. Once you discover and chose to live your life from your inner power, you are free to create anything your mind can conceive. If more people lived from a place of inner power, the world would be much better off.
As a coach, I help my clients to discover and use their inner power so that they can live a more empowered existence and truly live the lives they desire. I help them uncover places where they are giving up responsibility and help them shift the perspective to work and live from a place of strength.
