When I switched to a Surface I also switched my note taking and note archiving to OneNote. I love that I can use my pen stylist and I can archive any document in OneNote. It worked more seamlessly then Evernote for my needs.
We use Evernote to save our ideas, capture photos of things we see and organize our lists and data. Evernote syncs with many devices and any computer for free.
Mind Manager allows you to create computerized mind maps. We use it to research, brainstorm, plan, execute and collaborate on all of our projects or big ideas. If you are a creative person, you will find benefit by visually organizing your action plan in one document.

Yes, we run an internet based business but I still feel that is equipped with a business card is one of the cheapest, most effective forms of marketing.
